
Sea-Land Chemical Company CEO Jennifer Altstadt Named 2025 Outstanding Industrial Engineer by Purdue University

Sea-Land Chemical Company is thrilled to announce that its President and CEO, Jennifer Altstadt, has been recognized by Purdue University as a 2025 Outstanding Industrial Engineer (OIE). This prestigious honor celebrates Altstadt’s distinguished career and her contributions to the chemical distribution industry and broader business community.
A 1989 graduate of Purdue’s School of Industrial Engineering, Altstadt was selected for the award based on her exceptional leadership, strategic innovation, and commitment to organizational excellence. She joins an esteemed group of alumni honored for their professional accomplishments and impact in their respective fields.

Altstadt joined Sea-Land Chemical Company in 2015 and became President and CEO shortly thereafter. Under her leadership, the company has undergone significant transformation—including expansion into new markets and geographies, modernization of operations, and the strengthening of its employee-owned culture. Her prior leadership roles include executive positions at Nordson Corporation, Weatherchem Corporation, and Libra Industries.
