Songnox® L135 is a liquid, high molecular weight phenolic antioxidant for lubricants that has excellent solubility in mineral oil and is easy to handle. It provides superior protection against oxidation and deposit formation. The product also contributes to piston cleanliness in diesel and gasoline engine oils. The main applications for Songnox L135 include industrial lubricants, engine oils, power transmission fluids and greases. Songnox® L115 is a high molecular weight phenolic antioxidant for lubricants that provides multifunctional activity as a primary and secondary antioxidant. Songnox L115 is an ashless solid with low volatility that provides superior thermal stability over conventional phenolic antioxidants. The product also permits reduced losses under high temperature operating conditions. The main applications for Songnox L115 include synthetic and semi-synthetic lubricants and engine oils while also finding use in greases, hydraulic oils and turbine oils. The product is approved by the NSF/FDA for use in blending food grade lubricants with incidental food contact, at a level not to exceed 0.5% by weight.
