The polyisobutylene (PIB) is produced using a proprietary highly reactive technology. The PIB is produced to a wide range of molecular weights, allowing for increased formulation flexibility. It is used in wide variety of applications where viscosity modification, hydrolytic stability, light tack, and long-lasting water resistance are important. PIB’s are typically used in applications like industrial greases, gear oils, metalworking fluids, coatings, caulks, sealants, adhesives and elastomers.
